When gas or liquid hydrocarbons are burned with insufficient air, the result is carbon black.
Its main component is carbon and also contains relatively small amounts of hydrogen, oxygen, sulfur and ash. Carbon black is a form of carbon; the basic particle size is often between 10-100nm. Carbon black is a crucial component used in the production of rubber. In the wet granulated carbon black industry, indirect steam rotary dryers are planned to be used in the new carbon black drying equipment and technology. The main cylindrical body is equipped with heating tubes running the inside length of the dryer. The heat for the drying process is provided by steam blowing through the tubes. The wet and granular carbon black is first fed into the dryer machine by the feeder. As the cylinder spins, the material is picked up by the heating tubes and spread as droplets which are then dried by using convection, conduction and radiation. The dryer helps to lift the material from the higher up towards the bottom and the discharge valve finally releases it from the dryer. The humid air collected in drying goes through the famous gas and is discharged outside because of the draft fan.
Material Flow: The wet material from the previous wet granulation section of carbon black is transported to the dryer through the feeder. Inside the dryer, the wet material and heating tubes conduct mass and heat transfer movement. The moisture of the wet material is heated and evaporated, and the temperature gradually rises after the material is dried. At the discharge port of the dryer, the material is dried to the rated value and falls into the discharge hood. The dried carbon black particles are transported to the next stage through the discharge valve and conveying device.
